The weeky 'Top 10' ranks the top ten impacts on the week as decided by the front office. See if you made it this week! Descends from number one to ten.
Author’s Note: Sorry about the lack of Top 10s everyone, there have been some shake-ups at the office since Commissioner Austin took over. He fired the guy who used to write these and then yelled at me why there haven’t been anymore, so here I am writing this. Also if you are reading this Commissioner Stone Cold sir, I am not complaining and I am so thankful for the opportunity.
World’s Champion Priscilla Kelly continues to keep her vice grip around the balls of the Alberta Wrestling Federation. With a win over longtime ring veteran the Raging Dead and a blood-soaked title defense over Max Ironside in a steel cage match, she has proved to be every bit as good as she says she is. Plus, with her riveting interview with Jim Ross (and another thing I can’t explicitly say for legal reasons) she has shown she is as captivating outside of the ring as inside of it. Fairly confident heading into the Elimination Chamber at the Brawl at Yankee Stadium, will this week shake up her worldview?
It was clear from the very beginning of the Alberta Wrestling Federation that Rockstar Spud was going to be a major player some time in the future. Well, the future is now after his big win over Barron Boneius and Orange Cassidy to be crowned the inaugural Alberta Wrestling Federation Provincial Champion. AWF’s Ace in the Hole has been keeping himself since winning his title, performing shows with Local Leather and fighting his way out of biker bars. Last week took a blow at his momentum, as he was on the losing side of a huge six-man tag team main event. One has to wonder if that will affect his performance this week or even worse, in the Championship Scramble match in The Bronx?
The Three Big Ni...Ni...Ni...Nice Guys have definitely changed the course of AWF in the last few weeks. From one of the most um...emotional?...I guess...court cases in history, to Black Clyde’s eye replacement, to saving and revitalizing Commissioner Booker, they are truly leaving their mark on the company. With Big Homunculus in the Elimination Chamber, Ruxx Rampede in the Championship Scramble, and Black Clyde having a shot to become a contender for the AWF Provincial Championship, the sky's the limit for 3BN!
The Three Halves of the Best Friends have seen both sides of the coin in the last few weeks. Although Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta have been on a winning streak, things haven’t been going so well for Orange Cassidy, since the inaugural AWF Provincial Championship bout -- but not without having found a new sort of mean streak along the way. Will Orange’s new found aggression and Chuck and Trent’s winning streak be able to carry them to championship gold in the next few weeks?
In something that nobody was expecting, newcomer Mag Aluf has become the fastest rising star in the Alberta Wrestling Federation. From his falling victim to ‘suicide,’ to tag teaming women with whoever’s down, to qualifying for the Championship Scramble, Mag Aluf has made himself known to the fans, who have conjured conspiracy theories suggesting his involvement in several deaths over the last number of weeks. Who’s next?
The alliterative ‘evil’ mastermind has had a rollercoaster of a time the last few weeks, all culminating in his qualification for the Elimination Chamber and assisting in this past week’s main event victory. Will Barron Boneius be able to ride this wave of momentum to win the AWF World’s Championship and televise the true terror of treachery?
The Atomic Texan has always done things his way in the Alberta Wrestling Federation, known to send a message any way possible, most preferably at the expense of his opponents -- just ask Black Clyde. Dyno-Mike’s win over Ruxx Rampede has qualified him for the Elimination Chamber, and with his rampage running rampant, what’s in store for his foes?
Phil Goode has been climbing up the ranks of the Alberta Wrestling Federation at a meticulous, but efficient pace. After losing his shot at the Elimination Chamber due to interference by Dyno-Mike, he made up for it in a big way by winning the six-man tag team main event last week. With another win under his belt, his stock is rising, he’s coming into his own, and I wouldn’t want to line up across from him myself.
Laci Valentine has been having a hard time of things lately in the Alberta Wrestling Federation. While she did get a win over Alaric Dracislav, she lost her shot at the Elimination Chamber due to being attacked by Avulsion. Now two main questions are in the mind of Laci Valentine fans: will she strike vengeance upon Priscilla Kelly for sending her hounds after her? How will she reconcile her unique connection with Rockstar Spud and being a contender for his most prized possession?
Stand Up Smack Down is definitely the most unique duo we currently have on the Alberta Wrestling Federation roster. They have qualified for the Ladder Match to determine the inaugural AWF World Tag Team Champions at the Brawl at Yankee Stadium, putting them amongst the best we have to offer. On a personal level I also just think it's so freakin’ cool that we have Leslie Jones in our company. Who would have thought? Fuckin’ Leslie Jones, dude.
Postscript: Commissioner Booker if you see this please come back and be our boss sir, Stone Cold is so mean. He keeps giving me beers to drink, but I don’t want to drink the beers so he keeps yelling at me. Please save us.
