1. How to win: have the best promo! What does that entail?
- Good content. It's about what you say, what your character does, and how relevant it all is or may become to both the situation/storyline and/or toward character development.
- Quality of the text. We want to immerse the reader into the tale being told, however that may be possible. That means it's about more than a group of tough guys throwing out a bunch of tough guy lines. Do what wrestling should: bring a story to life. Grammar will be considered as well but it is not a writing course; just make sense (this is excluding, naturally, any dialectic choices meant as characterization, et cetera).
- Accomplishing those goals more effectively than your opponent(s). The fun is in the friendly competition.
- Following the promo rules. What are those rules?: submit on time as there are no extensions, always specify if your promo/vignette aired on television or not, and do not commit a grand crime on recorded footage.
2. Each person is allowed to play up to two active wrestlers at any time. So as to encourage a fleshed out roster, I am requiring that any one signing up as a second character to register character of the opposite gender orientation. Characters of trans distinction are openly accept, but only in a serious and positive light.
3. Real, existing wrestlers are allowed to be role-played as, although original, created characters are most encouraged. That being said, there is no disparity to be expected for either choice. Please make sure your created wrestler is either unique, interesting, or, ideally, both. Both choices, however, should have the goal of creating a new, enticing legacy.
4. Avoid using wrestlers that have already retired from the industry in real life. In fact, use of any of these wrestlers is not permitted without previous consultation of potential ideas/direction for the individual with me to receive approval. Managerial positions to these types are much more likely to be granted than active wrestling ones.
5. Be realistic. Comedy is fine, but fantasy and totally unrelated romper is not.
