The weeky 'Top 10' ranks the top ten impacts on the week as decided by the front office. See if you made it this week! Descends from number one to ten.
Match or not, there is no denying who sits on top of the Alberta Wrestling Federation by pure, undeniable fact of the matter: the first-ever World's Champion, Priscilla Kelly. Defeating Max Ironside at AWF Gold Rush in what became an impromptu two-out-of-three falls affair, Hell's Favorite Harlot took over the beginning of this week's PrimeTime and grabbed it by the balls, leaving It clear who the head honcho was - even if the entire encounter did not pan out as she intended. The gold is hers, at least for the next couple weeks, when she meets Max Ironside in a return match for the title at PrimeTIme VI in her first defense! Will she bold enough to step back between the ropes herself?
Max Ironside will not be denied. Feeling as though injustice ran rabid throughout 30 May's pay-per-view debut, he was in no mood for Priscilla Kelly's disrespect comments towards his wife, the confrontation following leading to a vicious assault against Prince Albert the likes of which we have never seen Ironside unleash! Making his intentions clear - the gold and Kelly's neck - the Handicapped Hero solidified his chance to shift the tides back in his favor by winning this week's unprecedented Gauntlet for the Gold! Are Kelly's days as World's Champion numbered?
The Ironman of the Alberta Wrestling Federation is Ruxx Rampede. In a performance unmatched by any other competitor yet, the Binman of Boynton Beach showed that his win-loss record means nothing to his heart and potential, being the only competitor to start the match and last all the way through until the final elimination - thirty eight minutes and forty one seconds! The Barron's folly cannot be forgotten in Rampede's fall this week, but he will have the opportunity to get his revenge and his first victory in next week's six-person opening contest!
'Do ya feel lucky, punk?' The Barron certainly did, despite his count-out draw in the tornado tag match. The cast of Hawaii Bone-0 (... and Snivley and Alaric) did quite a number on not only the Screen Actors Guild, but too on 3BN! First, Ruxx Rampede felt the announce booth collapse under his bloody body, before they made a volleyball of Big Homunculus before he had a chance at the gauntlet! Subterfuge, treachery! The greatest of wrestling's evils!
Rockstar Spud's journey to Tacoma was everything he didn't want it to be, but that didn't stop him from pulling out as much of a clinic as he could manage against Hawaii Bone-0's unfair tactics. This week, his match ended in a draw, but next week there certainly must be a winner, as he clashes in the highly anticipated return match from PrimeTime's debut against Raging Dead! The first time, they were the first-hour main event, in the first round of the World's Championship tournament, and were honored as the match of the week. This time, they've been through four shows worth of hell, are in the semi-finals of the Provincial Championship bracket, and are likely ready to bring the house down! Are you ready?
In a pitstop between Gold Rush and the next round of the AWF Provincial Championship tournament, Raging Dead had to settle the score between he and Orange Cassidy. They did just that, in a brutal no disqualification showdown that drew better resemblance to a street fight than a catch-as-catch-can wrestling confrontation. Next week, Raging Dead hopes to topple over Rockstar Spud one more time, punching his ticket to the Provincial Championship final. Will madness reign?
Enigma & Pyro of the Ring Crew made an auspicious debut this past PrimeTIme, taking advantage of the otherwise distracted Best Friends in order to lead to their win (with a little bit of assistance from the MadClan)! Enigma proved a behemoth in the ring, adding a fearsome dynamic to an otherwise relatively lightweight roster, Pyro a composed and consummate professional inside the squared circle -- what more do they have in store for the Alberta Wrestling Federation?
While Laci Valentine may not have come away as number one contender following Tuesday's Gauntlet for the Gold, she did eliminate two different participants before being pinned herself! The future continues to look bright for the young woman and many seem to think next week's triple threat is hers to win!
David Starr promised to make a memorable debut, and he did just that in the Gauntlet for the Gold! Being one of the first four, he lasted over twenty minutes amongst some of AWF's best! Next week, he meets Eclipse and Laci Valentine in a triple threat to get some momentum in the rankings - will next week be his first victory?
Eclipse was a smart opportunist in the Gauntlet for the Gold, responsible for David Starr's ejection from the match! Laci Valentine took her shot at becoming number one contender away from her, but next week she will be able to exact a measure of revenge in the triple threat!
